Mezquita Cathedral

This is Cordoba's most prominent monument. During the Umayyad period, this monument was considered to be the largest mosque in Islam. Today, elements of both Islamic art and Christian art exist in this cathedral. The very name "Mezquita" in Spanish means "mosque."
