Yes, and it wasn't exactly clear from the texts whether he bought the land from Albert de Gondi or simply confiscated it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter! |

Louis the XIII's Hunting Lodge? Some 'lodge' to lodge at and/or in between horseback hunting stints for deer, boar and the odd poor interloper poacher out looking for the opportunity of the day's dinner for his starving family. |
